This one is stellar. Excellent vocal and arranging along with fantastic emotive lyrics. Love the simplistic accompaniment that works so well here. Brilliant songwriting.

Super Hero - single release - Featuring Ray Brookes with the cellos
The lyrics are a wonderful expression of the love to your subject. The song sounds sad but there is beauty in the way you've presented and produced it. The cellos/strings promote that feeling. Good vocal and the picked acoustic sounds great,
Pro level song, the writing and especially the singing stand out as great. Peaceful and beautiful and emotional but calming. I hope the release is as successful as it can be! Hope to hear more!

Forever's Never Far Away
Your lyrics are so touching and well articulated! Your writing skill perfectly translates emotions into words, making the lyrics both engaging and deeply personal. The imagery, like 'the sun parades in all its beauty' and 'regrets rain like the April sky,' is evocative and powerful.
Opening intrigued me. I loved how your voice entered. "I walked with caution... I scuff my shoes..." loved the imagery. I like when the lead guitar enters as it is matches the overall vibe of the song. What I like about the song is that it is a topic covered by lots of writers, but yours feels like an original take. With your voice, I would imagine you would do well with film/tv listing... :-) Nice work!

Whoa! The strength of this beautiful song is the powerful lyrics that cannot fail to move anybody with more than half a heart. Love the line/title "forever's never far away" Also, the simple backing is perfect for this; anything else would've detracted from the theme. Good song

Yeah, this is great. I like how the song is both classic in style yet there's a lot of more modern touches to it. The backing vocal treatment in the intro brought John Frusciante to mind and there were parts where it sounded like something akin to Cigarettes After Sex, but with a different kind of production. The vocals are the icing of the cake.
the vocal is flooring me... what incredible feeling... a smoky goodness... the build in is nice and really changes the song quite a lot... I suppose that is a good thing as the start is very intense so I think the drums and other heavier instruments smooth out that intensity but still drive the song nicely...

That voice! Are you by any chance related to Leonard Cohen? Or perhaps him in disguise? The close sung vocals sound great and they sit SO comfortable in the mix that they're a real joy to hear.
I like the different dynamics and the vibe of the vocals a lot. The way the arrangement builds and the way you're drawing the vocals deeper into the mix in the choruses and putting them back to the foreground in the verses. Musically the synth sounds dominate the mix and while the drums are big they're pushed further back which is a great thing to do for a song like this.

That is a great song, Excellent lyrics and great vocal.
A beautiful and heartbreaking song. My only comment is that the orchestral pad is a bit overbearing. I'd recommend using it more subtly (or not at all) during the softly-sung verses, and a light layer in the choruses, and then full-on for the big emotional climax of the song. It's kind of what you did, but where you have it soft, I'd go even softer; where you have it big, I'd go even bigger.

both versions work. that is what is great about a song like this.. I realize this is intensly personal but for me this just has such an amazing energy in it... the song maybe about the pain the artist feels but it feels healing to me...sort of like the one in mourning is actually comforting me listening to this... this is really, really special..

I like this version just you and your guitar. It's like I'm at a coffee house listening. The middle bridge seems more noticeable in this stripped-down production. I'll have to give the other version a re-listen to be sure, but I do like this one. Nicely done!
Stripped down like this somehow presents the song in a warmer light. I'm the same as you, I like big productions but sometimes the bare song with simple plaintive accompaniment works better

What a great arrangement! First couple of verses showcase that distinctive vocal of yours, your lead makes such a stunning entrance on the break. I like the way you let it trail off into the third verse., and that outro caught me totally by surprise.
I love this one, has a great catchy tempo and melody. The solo is really nice, like the sound of the mix and great vocals and words.
This is a fine song . Really powerful. I really love your vocals, they are understated but carry a load of feeling and personality. This is a mighty song on a really sad topic but highlights the injustices in this world. Fantastic.

It's Ours for the Taking
Very meaningful song, executed with a lot of flair. and attention to detail. Particularly loved the 'executioner-style' drum rolls within the breakdown section in the last quarter. Very high production values here to create a well balanced piece of work.

Really nice and kind of new thing, Acapella was a thing in the past but this is really refreshment to the today's stage. Love how the vocals match each other and the lyrics are great.

Love the quality of your voice. Slightly husky on the high notes, complimented with rich bass tones. They sit nicely on the pleasant acoustic guitar and synth strings background. Love it!
I was drawn into this song from the very first note. Really good acoustic sound with a superb vocal delivery. I liked the simplicity of the arrangement, the content and overall feel of the song needed nothing more. there's an power in your voice without you having to try too hard. liked this a lot

I loved it! A great bluesy eclectic song that had my interest from beginning to end. The vocal was great and in tune. Lyrics were just enough. Mix of song was good and arrangement was great!
Lovely bluesy late night song. Vocals are perfect for this. Like the way it goes into double time at around 2:19 Killer bass/brushes give it that nice laid back sexy sound. Great work

I particularly like the change-up on the on the break just before the 3-minute mark. The performance itself is marvelous, everything seems to be on point. The production is fairly good.

This is a very dark track. Very thought provoking. This seems to be a dark in the writer's life. It came off feeling quite hopeless. I've been in some dark places in my life but this is sort of disturbing to say the least if that's what you intended you nailed it.

The lead vocal delivery is my favorite part of this song. Very unique style. It colors the feeling of the song in a way that makes it interesting and unique. It reminds me of a cross between Leonard Cohen and The National, which are both important artists and two of my favorites. I also enjoy the background vocals and overall vibe of this song. I could imagine this song fitting nicely in a tv or movie montage or transition, opening or ending credits.
Really liked the singers voice and the sounds that backed him. Not sure but sounded like he had a French accent but I struggled hearing all the lyrics. Great melody in the verse really instantly catchy. The backing vocals are interesting in the lower register, they work to a point but I don't think the singer needs them

The guitar recording is pretty high quality. The tone of the instrument is on par with recording of similar characteristics. The vocals are easy to understand and the melody matches what you'd expect for this type of song. The finger snaps are original and tasteful. Instrumental breakdown lead in sort of carries you to the part of the song where you wouldn't expect to hear any lyrics.

What I like most about this song is the feel. I do like the arrangement - simple and easy. The feel of the song works very well with the "lost in a dream" feel - which is no small thing. I LOVE how the snare comes in at 1:48. So subtle and so appreciated. Just the right feel and the perfect build. The guitar and bass line, how they play in harmony on that little step up and down at the end of the verse lines is a very nice color.

There's something interesting here for sure. The dark, murky vocal with the slow laid back groove - its like Nick Cave playing with some good ole boys. I like the overall vibe that the song has from the beginning, with a bit of country and a bit of folk. The lyrics definitely have some depth to them, and tell a story that suits the tune nicely. The production is fantastic, not a single thing to criticize there. Every instrument can be heard well and plays its role greatly because of it. I would only raise the level of the harmonica, but I feel that was intentionally lowered so as to decrease distractions
Country western style song that moves along st a steady pace more a relaxed movement type vibe as opposed to an up beat foot stomping. Nice guitar playing with great strumming style. The rhythm and steady groove sound sound good in the mix creating a great sounding production. I also liked the cowboy style whistle at the end of the song, fantastic. I liked it.

Solid arrangement and good instrumentation for the feel and genre. I like the acoustic being the centerpiece of the music bed. The harmonica is a nice flavor in this mix. The background vocal parts are an especially nice addition and help to carry the melody. I like the sparse ending and fade out with the humming.
"Innovative to some extent" because the artist chose to use the almost-lost art of whistling. And for that alone, I would have given this song an overall positive review. But I like the rest, too - reminded me a little of the legendary John Prine. At times, the harmony track overpowered the lead vocal in the mix. But the words were good, if not very good. I would put this in the "Americana" genre

I would categorize this song as rock. It has that Elvis Presley sound.just like Elvis this is a great toe tapping tune. The vocals are strong and should be considered the main instrument. The mood of the song is amorous and sultry. The artist have really good vocal range.
Interesting combination of styles - a traditional blues track with R&B / Soul phrasing in the vocal. The contrast adds to the energy of the cut. Reminds me a little of Link Wray.

This song has a nice feel too it. More of an "Old Country" feel, which was refreshing to listen to .The instrumentation and production were all well done. I enjoyed listening to it. It was very mellow in contrast to a lot of other Country music out there.

Very original sound. Enjoyed the piano in the intro. Nice open arrangement, enjoying the simplicity, a drum beat and vocal accompaniment. Vocal recording is clean and mixed well, in tune and very well presented. I feel like I'm sitting in a club in the south some time in the 60's listening to a house band that has been together since forever. Wow in the middle you jump into a bebop break for solos, something you don't hear often nor did I suspect it. Beautiful guitar & drums 4's section. Very nice soloing by the guitarist and drummer. Great job on this one, very unique ideas all performed and recorded well!

It starts simple and then becomes a full band. If it's a song that's sung I would like the full band to play a half-time and then let the singer back in with the full band. Instead he came back muted. I liked the singer's part, so I wanted him to tear up the song in the beginning, let the band take over, and then join in to blast away.
I like the idea of starting off with the old time fifties sound then banging into the modern jazz sound. Great guitar playing. The ending is a nice touch too!!! Very well thought out and executed. Nice work . Beautiful mix. This is definitely a keeper!!!
Song opens with a great jazzy piano & vocal solo, sounds like kind of old-timey like the performing artist is rockin' out on a bar piano...some great licks there. Then the track changes to a jazzy instrumental with some top musicians weighing in on guitar, keys, drums, horns and bass...no vocals. Ending returns to a vintage-sounding recording of the original artist singing "swing on by my place."
I'm a sucker for anything remotely similar to Louis Jordan or those honkers from the 40's and 50's. At first I thought this was another mis-matched track, you know more of a boogie woogie Fats Dominoe thing but then I heard the band come in. Total swinger

This is a nice cover version of the classic Chris Isaak version. When tackling a well known cover it's challenging to add something fresh or give a new perspective but I think this version does that. The production stays in character throughout the song. The low strings/cellos add a nice somber supporting tone to the production. The opening vocal sets the tone nicely and conversationally.

This is a very thoughtful electronic ambient track that has me captivated! While listening, my mental imagery takes me to a faraway mystical place. The haunting chorals beckon me further to a place where rituals occur perhaps. The instruments and chorals have me wondering if this is music for a serious scene in a TV plot perhaps.
Soundtrack- styled beginning... the front of a story... what does it tell?... The builds presented sometimes carry you into empty space. One thinks a certain melodic line is a vehicle carrying you somewhere, and then, poof! you're on your own, floating above the next part of the piece...This is an interesting piece. I would even like to hear this fully orchestrated and played by analog instruments, with voices. That could be tremendously fun.

I liked this a lot. I can see it being used in one of those action films with superheroes and in this case evil bad guys or towering robots.... I liked the Sequenced voice tone... very nice idea
Very tense and suspenseful. I have to be honest it almost sounds like a trip in a dark fun house. I do love the effects and pulse/gated synths, as it sounds like something I would have heard in a scene right before the action starts. It certainly has potential to be used in any number of scenes, but either way this is some good work.

Very interesting piece! Almost chaotic, but it still maintains cohesion. I could imagine hearing this in a dramatic scene in an action film or TV show, or maybe even a video game. I like the instruments you chose for this as well -- very diverse and it keeps me interested throughout the song. It almost reminds me of something I would hear in the Goosebumps TV show I watched when I was younger. Very awesome! Overall, it was a great experience!
