I don't like doing profiles so to get to know me better and my music here is some trivia,-  to be updated

I bought my first guitar when i was 15,  which was a white fender esquire  strat,  which my  dad bought me and i paid him back the following week.

​

I Originally bought a guitar because i wanted to play lead guitar after seeing a run of guitar legend shows and music docs on TV i never actually intended to write songs even though i had been writing lyrics for a few years

​

I had been writing song lyrics since i was a bout 11 or 12 that i used to keep hidden from the world, it was only after buying a guitar to play lead but realizing that was out of reach where i thought wait a minute i have all these song lyrics written why don't i try to  learn some chords  and try and write my  own songs.

​

The first song i ever wrote was a little story song called Up on His Feet. i remember thinking ok if i am going to try and write my own music i want it to be meaningful and real, a later version of that song will be released on a outtake album sometime.

 

Musically i am completely self taught, no lessons, i learnt a few chords from a  book, the rest i either made up

or learnt by watching bands. it's funny these days its all out there, so i am always finding out the names of the chords i was playing, oh that cool chord i came up with oh that's just another variation of a g major, damn lol.

I recorded a number of demo albums over the years but only decided to try and do them properly for release in 2014/15 when there was a opportunity to do so. which there wasn't before to my knowledge.

​

I am no expert with any instrument, but i can usually play  something on a instrument  to fit my own songs if i need, 

My main instrument is guitar but i can play  abit of  banjo harmonica, drums, bass, piano, keyboard, ukulele etc.

​

As self taught i have had no music theory  and don't read music ,the majority of everything has been done my ear, though i know a tiny bit now which helps with adding other parts to songs.

​

I have played with various people over the years,  a few duo groups and lots of drummers strangely, but mostly have always played solo.

​

The oldest written songs released so far were That Girl of Mine and I Dont Wanna Walk Away  from the Tongue Tied album  which were first written when i was 15/16

​

The most recently written songs are the new releases from the next album My Father's Son, One Tear at a Time etc

​

joutau is the only song released so far which is sung in two languages.

​

Only two singles were released from the Tongue Tied album, The title track and Blue Jean Baby

​

Only two songs were released from the Forever Road album Somehow Someway and the title track

​

There was no singles released from the collab album Shadows Chasing Light, though the plan was for Lost in Flight and As the Clouds Roll By to be singles.

​

There has been 6 singles released so far that are not from any of the albums or EPS , Joutau ( see you in dreams ) It's  Ours for the Taking ,Take all the Lovin, Flying Solo,  Wicked Game - cover  and Here Comes Santa

​

There has been three EP Releases so far. Hellish Ride , Don't Walk on By and All Night ( I want you )

​

The longest song released so far is Hurts Like Hell From the Tongue Tied album which is 6.27

​

The shortest song released so far is the demo version of Too Cool for that from the All Night EP which is 1.53

​

Take all the Lovin and Tongue Tied i originally wrote as duets

​

Forever Road  ( part 2 ) was actually written first which i wrote while walking down the  long road late one night with my guitar when coming home with my dad which was a lot of fun.

​

I rarely do contests these days as there is just not many real ones to enter  but 9 kinds of crazy,  Flying Solo ,Easy on me baby and House of Hell  all won contests with a number of the other songs 2nd 3rd etc

​

The Void is the only spoken word track released so far from the Don't Walk on By EP

​

Heavens Arm's and Awake in a Dream are the only instrumentals released so far under my main name from the Hellish Ride EP and  the All Night EP
